"Lives of great men all remind us, we can make our lives sublime. And, departing, leave behind us Footprints on the sands of time" - Longfellow Fr. JJ Morondo arrived in Ahmedabad and St. Xavier's Loyola in 1956 as a 27-year old Jesuit. By the time he left, 54 years later, he had shaped the minds, morals and character of thousands of impressionable students. A much-loved teacher of biology, history, language and morality. A play director and actor par excellence. A deeply serious, moral man behind the most genial smile and infectious sense of humor. The wise, friendly presence at the top of the stairs. This is an humble tribute to the institution that was Fr. JJ Morondo SJ.
